St. Ives Specialist Hospital has released an official public statement following social media allegations by a woman who accused the hospital of medical negligence, claiming she lost her triplets under their care.
In the statement dated Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the hospital said its attention was drawn to a recent social media post made by one of its former patients, identified online with the TikTok account Car Bows, Decors & Gifts in Lagos, concerning the loss of her triplets in February 2025.
The hospital expressed deep sympathy, stating that it extends its “deepest condolences” to the woman and her family, acknowledging that the loss of a child is an unimaginable pain. Management emphasized that its heart goes out to her during what it described as a very difficult time.
According to the statement, St. Ives Specialist Hospital noted that it has not received a formal complaint from the patient as of the time of the release. However, it stressed that all concerns related to patient care are taken seriously. The hospital disclosed that it has reached out to the woman and that a meeting between the hospital and her or her representative has been scheduled in the spirit of professionalism, compassion, and transparency.
Reaffirming its standards, the hospital stated that patient safety and quality care remain its highest priority, adding that it has upheld a strong duty of care for over 30 years, guided by diligence, responsibility, and ethical medical practice.
