Nigerian comedian and social commentator MC Koko has sparked mixed reactions online after openly distancing himself from the ongoing electoral reform protests in Abuja, arguing that Nigerians are not yet truly ready for meaningful resistance.
In a blunt reaction circulating on social media, MC Koko said protests lack impact when participation is fragmented, pointing out that while some citizens are on the streets, others are in churches, schools, or going about their normal routines.
“I am not joining you people for protest. We are not ready in this country. You are protesting, some people are in church, others are in school. When you people are ready to block everywhere, involve me.”
