Actress Biodun Olabiyi Clarifies Relationship with Colleague, Responds to Critics

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Biodun Olabiyi Omoborthy has taken to social media to set the record straight regarding rumors about her relationship with a fellow industry colleague. The clarification comes after some fans and critics suggested she was involved in ongoing disputes or supported negative posts.
“Let me make this very clear this once, so nobody will pretend not to understand,” she wrote. “That person has NEVER been my friend. We were never friends in real life. I also do not have any close friends in the movie industry. I’m cordial with my colleagues and I have no issues with anyone, well, that I know of. I’m cool with everyone, including her too.”
Biodun Plan explained that she had only worked with the colleague once in a movie titled Edidi Igbeyawo, shot in Akute, and that there was never any personal fight between them. “So how will I just jump and fight her because she had a fight with another colleague? These two people have fought in the past and they settled. In my corner, I was hoping and praying peace would happen again, so I stayed clamoring for peace between them,” she said.
The actress further clarified her stance on social media interactions, particularly regarding alleged “curses” posts. “I did not support her curses or like any curse post. My likes on her posts were never to support fights. I detest curses. Anyone close to me can testify to that. I don’t even allow negative words around me,” she added. Biodun Plan said that her engagement with the colleague’s posts was merely out of social media courtesy or reciprocation, and nothing more.
She concluded by urging fans to stop spreading false accusations about her. “Have you ever seen me joining her live videos? No. So, you all need to stop the false accusations of liking curses,” she emphasized.
