Miyetti Allah Leaders Arrested in Kwara Over Alleged Kidnapping and Banditry Sponsorship

Leaders of the Kwara State chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, including their President Idris Abubakar, have been arrested over alleged involvement in kidnapping and the sponsorship of armed bandit groups in the state.
According to reports, the arrests followed intelligence-led operations by security agencies investigating the rising cases of abductions and bandit attacks across parts of Kwara State. The suspects are alleged to have played key roles in facilitating and funding criminal activities linked to armed groups terrorising residents.
Security sources disclosed that the arrested leaders are currently being interrogated as investigations continue to uncover the full extent of their alleged involvement and possible collaborators. Authorities stressed that the operation targets individuals suspected of criminal acts and not any ethnic or socio-cultural group.
