Legendary Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo Kuti is set to receive one of the music industry’s highest honors — a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy announced that Fela will be recognized alongside global icons such as Whitney Houston, Cher, Paul Simon, Carlos Santana, and Chaka Khan for his monumental impact on music.
