Nigerian entertainer and activist Mr Macaroni has publicly criticized the Federal Government over the worsening state of insecurity in the country, following the recent kidnapping of schoolchildren in Kebbi State.
In a series of posts shared on X, he questioned why the administration has failed to fulfil its pre-election promise of ending insecurity “once and for all.” He referenced an old statement where the President had pledged to eliminate the scourge of violence and terrorism if elected.
Mr Macaroni demanded answers, asking what had changed since those promises were made and why there has been no decisive communication from the Presidency regarding the abduction of the innocent children.
The actor did not hold back in his comments, describing the government as “irresponsible” and accusing the political class of lacking empathy, direction, and genuine concern for citizens. According to him, leaders have become more invested in elections, power struggles, and personal gain than national safety.
He lamented that despite the brutal killing of security officers and the kidnapping of minors, the government has not addressed the nation to outline any concrete rescue or protection plans. He called the silence “a blatant disregard and lack of accountability.”
Mr Macaroni’s statements echo the frustration and fear shared by millions of Nigerians who continue to experience insecurity across various states. With the situation intensifying, many citizens are now repeating his call for urgent and transparent government action.
