Lagos State Postpones Rehabilitation Works On Lekki–Ajah Corridor

The Lagos State Government has announced a postponement of the planned rehabilitation works on the busy Lekki–Ajah corridor. Initially scheduled to begin on Saturday, 15th November 2025, the full-scale roadworks will now commence on a later date yet to be confirmed.
According to the official statement from Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, Commissioner for Transportation, preliminary activities such as site surveys and preparatory work will continue until the end of the month. However, full rehabilitation works will not begin until the revised schedule is announced.
The State Government expressed appreciation for the patience and understanding of commuters and other road users, reiterating its commitment to improving road infrastructure across Lagos. The works are expected to significantly enhance transportation efficiency and safety once completed.
Motorists and residents are advised to stay updated via official government channels to avoid inconvenience and to plan alternative routes during the eventual commencement of the rehabilitation works.
