AEDC STAFF KILLED IN SUSPECTED ROBBERY ATTACK IN NASARAWA

A staff member of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), Yusuf Ibrahim Kadimu, was reportedly killed in a gruesome attack late Tuesday night in the Tudun Kauri area of Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The 37-year-old was found lifeless near the INEC office, close to the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS) premises, lying face-down in a pool of blood with visible signs of physical assault.

Eyewitness accounts suggest Yusuf may have been attacked by individuals he had stopped to assist. According to reports, his assailants allegedly beat him and fled the scene with his motorcycle.

His identity remained unknown until relatives arrived and confirmed the body. Speaking to journalists, his uncle, Umaru Kasimu, expressed deep grief and called for swift justice.

“This is a tragic and senseless loss. We demand justice,” he said.

As of press time, the Nasarawa State Police Command has yet to release an official statement on the incident.

The shocking murder has sparked concern among residents, reigniting calls for improved security in Lafia and other parts of the state.
