DAVIDO CALLS FOR RELEASE OF VERYDARKMAN, CONDEMNS SILENCE SURROUNDING ARREST

Afrobeats superstar Davido has joined the growing chorus of voices demanding the release of social media activist VeryDarkMan, whose recent arrest has sparked widespread concern online.
VeryDarkMan was reportedly apprehended following a visit to a GTBank branch, with claims linking his detention to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). However, as of the time of this report, the EFCC has neither confirmed his arrest nor issued a public statement regarding his whereabouts or alleged charges.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Davido expressed admiration for the solidarity shown by Nigerians towards the detained activist. He noted that such public support serves as motivation for him to continue advocating for the people.
“Outside all the noise, it’s good to see that the good one does actually impacts lives and people actually appreciate! The support I’m seeing for VDM everywhere is encouraging… makes one want to do more for the masses. FREE MY GUY,” he wrote.
