KOGI CENTRAL CONSTITUENTS MOVE TO RECALL SENATOR NATASHA AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN 

Constituents of Kogi Central senatorial district in Kogi State have initiated a recall process against their representative in the Senate, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. The process, which began today, March 19, is driven by claims of lost confidence in her representation and dissatisfaction with her performance in the National Assembly.

The recall effort comes just weeks after Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment, adding a political undertone to the development.

The recall exercise is set to span two days across all polling units in the five local government areas of Kogi Central. During this period, constituents are required to sign a petition addressed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), demanding her removal from office.

Once submitted, INEC will verify the signatures to confirm whether they belong to registered voters in the district before taking further action. As of today, the collection of signatures is ongoing across four local government areas: Okehi, Okene, Ajaokuta, and Ogori/Magongo.
