ANGRY PROTESTERS SHUT DOWN ONDO GOVERNOR’S OFFICE OVER FRESH KILLING OF FARMERS

Tension has gripped Akure, the Ondo State capital, as enraged protesters shut down the Governor’s Office in Alagbaka following the brutal killing of five farmers by armed herdsmen at Aba Oyinbo in Akure North Local Government Area.
According to reports, the victims were gunned down in the early hours of Wednesday in yet another violent invasion by suspected herdsmen. Outraged by the state government’s perceived inaction over the relentless attacks, protesters stormed the Governor’s Office, dramatically displaying the bodies of the slain farmers.
The unrest spread to the Akure-Owo Road, where demonstrators blocked the highway at Ogbese, leaving commuters and motorists stranded.
This latest attack comes just two weeks after a similar invasion left 20 farmers dead across four farm settlements in the same local government, fueling growing concerns over security in the region.
