BAMBAM OPENS UP ON TRAUMATIC CHILDBIRTH EXPERIENCE
Reality TV star and actress Bambam has shared a harrowing account of her childbirth experience, shedding light on the dangers of postpartum complications and medical negligence. Speaking on a recent episode of Me and My Girls on Fertitude, she revealed that she faced life-threatening conditions that nearly cost her and her daughter their lives.
During childbirth, Bambam’s body began to shut down—her kidneys failed, her heart weakened, and her liver started deteriorating. The situation worsened when doctors discovered that her daughter had detached from the placenta, a critical condition that could have resulted in a stillbirth if there had been any further delay in receiving medical attention.
“My kidney failed, my heart became weak, my liver—everything was just shutting down. She had detached from the placenta. If I was a second late, she would have lost oxygen, and I would have had a stillbirth,” she shared.
The traumatic experience left her struggling with overwhelming “what ifs”—what if the doctor wasn’t attentive? What if the nurse had overlooked something crucial? The weight of those thoughts haunted her so much that she eventually sought therapy to process her emotions and embrace gratitude.
“Every time I look at her, I just say ‘what if.’ That word tormented me. It haunted me for a while. I had to get therapy to walk me through being grateful,” she admitted.
Despite the terrifying ordeal, Bambam remains deeply thankful for the medical intervention that saved both her and her daughter. Her story is a stark reminder of the importance of urgent and attentive maternal healthcare, postpartum support, and the need to address medical lapses that put mothers and babies at risk.
