AKPABIO’S WIFE THREATENS LAWSUIT AGAINST NATASHA AKPOTI OVER ALLEGATIONS

Ekaette Akpabio, the wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has firmly denied allegations of sexual harassment leveled against her husband by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, had accused Akpabio of making inappropriate advances toward her.

She further claimed that the Senate President retaliated by blocking her motions from being considered in the Senate after she rejected his alleged advances.
According to her, this refusal led to ongoing harassment and efforts to damage her reputation.
In response, Ekaette Akpabio, speaking at her residence in Abuja, dismissed the allegations as baseless and a fabrication of Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s imagination. She pointed to the longstanding friendly relationship between their families, suggesting that the accusations were inconsistent with their history of positive interactions.
“These allegations are completely unfounded,” Ekaette stated. “Senator Natasha was present at her family residence on the alleged date, December 8, 2023. Our families have shared a cordial relationship that dates back even before her marriage.”
Ekaette praised her husband as a disciplined and family-oriented man who has consistently championed women’s inclusion in governance. She highlighted that his advocacy for gender representation began long before he assumed the role of Senate President.
She also called on women to avoid making unsubstantiated accusations, warning that such claims could harm the credibility of genuine harassment cases. Ekaette vowed to take legal action to address the allegations, emphasizing the need to safeguard her husband’s reputation and integrity.
