PASTOR PAUL ADEFARASIN UNDER POLICE INTERROGATION OVER VIRAL VIDEO INCIDENT
Prominent Nigerian cleric and founder of House on the Rock Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, is currently being interrogated at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja following a viral video that appears to show him brandishing a gun-like object at a fellow road user.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed on Tuesday, June 17, that Pastor Adefarasin voluntarily turned himself in for questioning. According to a statement released via the Command’s official X handle, detectives have already commenced an investigation into the incident.
“Pastor Paul Adefarasin has turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja and is currently being interrogated by detectives who have commenced investigation on the case since a video surfaced online showing the pastor holding a gun-like object against another road user, while driving in an unregistered vehicle,” the police said.
The Command reiterated its stance on impartial law enforcement, declaring: “No one is above the law!” It also assured that the outcome of the investigation would be made public.
The viral clip, which has sparked intense discussions across social media platforms, has raised concerns about responsible conduct, especially among high-profile public figures.
