LAGOS POLICE DENIES KIDNAPPING ATTEMPT IN OKOTA AREA

The Lagos State Police Command has refuted reports of a kidnapping attempt in the Okota area of the state.
A viral video circulating on social media shows three men being interrogated by residents of Victory Estate in Okota. In the video, the suspects allegedly confessed to being in the estate with the intention of abducting someone.
In response to the video, the Lagos State Police Command issued a statement on Wednesday. According to CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, convened a fact-finding meeting. The meeting included the Chairman of Victory Estate, the Chief Security Officer, two other residents, and one of the men implicated in the video.
