Muslim faithful across Nigeria have been informed that Ramadan fasting will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, following successful crescent moon sightings reported after sunset on Tuesday.
The announcement comes after the directive from the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and the Sa’ad Abubakar, who urged Muslims to observe the sky on Monday and Tuesday evenings for the new lunar crescent that signals the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
