A Nigerian man has taken to social media to express shock and confusion after receiving an unexpected alert of ₦24 million in his bank account on Valentine’s Day.
According to the man, he was holding his phone when the alert came in and immediately became alarmed, as he had not been expecting money from anyone. He further revealed that the Fidelity Bank account credited had not been used for over two years, making the transaction even more suspicious.
“I don’t know if it’s a Valentine’s Day gift from Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,” he said jokingly, while clearly expressing fear over the sudden inflow.
The post has since gone viral, with many Nigerians advising him not to touch the money and to immediately notify his bank, warning that unexplained funds could lead to serious legal trouble if not properly reported.
