Nollywood actress Queen Mercy Atang has officially confirmed that her marriage is no longer intact, following an emotional and detailed post she shared online while addressing an ex-partner who recently attempted to reconnect with her.
In the post, Mercy made it clear that she is “no longer married,” shutting down speculation and confirming what many had suspected. The actress expressed disbelief that the same ex who allegedly dragged her name publicly when she got married in 2024 is now reaching out in 2026, asking for forgiveness and attempting to re-enter her life.
She revealed that during her marriage, the ex spread lies about her across WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Instagram, recruiting friends and even strangers to mock and malign her. Mercy recounted how the experience left her broken, forcing her to call his boss and his brother who she described as a close family friend while she cried helplessly.
Now, years later, the actress disclosed that the ex recently contacted her sister asking for her number, claiming he wanted to apologize. Mercy firmly rejected the move, stating that love is no longer in her dictionary and making it clear she is not desperate or emotionally vulnerable because she is no longer married.
“For the records,” she wrote, “we dated in 2013 at UNIZIK. When it ended, it ended. Once you’re my ex, you remain my ex for life.”
She explained that she decided to make the matter public because the ridicule she faced when she got married was done publicly as well, adding that she has screenshots and evidence of the posts made against her at the time.
The post has since sparked massive reactions online, with fans praising Queen Mercy Atang for her strength, clarity, and refusal to entertain emotional manipulation during a vulnerable period of her life.
