Viral Jet Video Allegedly Involving Oshiomhole Is AI-Generated, Media Team Says

Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has denied claims surrounding a viral video allegedly showing him giving a foot massage to a woman inside a private jet.
The short clip, which surfaced earlier this week on social media platforms including X, Instagram, and TikTok, quickly gained traction and sparked intense public reactions. Many Nigerians criticized what they perceived as an extravagant display, particularly in light of the country’s ongoing economic challenges and recent remarks attributed to the senator regarding rising food prices.
Online reports also identified the woman in the video as a South African lifestyle influencer and adult content creator, further intensifying debates around privilege, accountability, and the personal conduct of public office holders.
In response, Senator Oshiomhole’s media team dismissed the video as fake, describing it as a “poorly crafted and edited AI-generated video” allegedly created to blackmail the senator and damage his reputation. The statement maintained that the footage did not feature Oshiomhole and pointed to visible technical inconsistencies in the clip as evidence of digital manipulation.
According to the media office, irregularities observed around the six-second mark of the approximately 30-second video indicate artificial intelligence interference, reinforcing their claim that the footage is not authentic.
