Nigerian Troops Arrest 65-Year-Old Woman Over Alleged Supply of Drugs to Boko Haram

Nigerian troops have arrested a 65-year-old woman, identified as Hauwa Abulazeez, in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State over alleged involvement in supplying drugs to Boko Haram insurgents.
According to security sources, the suspect is believed to be one of the suppliers of cannabis sativa to members of the terrorist group, aiding their activities within the region. Her arrest followed intelligence-led operations by troops working to cut off logistics and support networks for insurgents.
The military disclosed that investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of her involvement and to identify other individuals connected to the supply chain. Authorities also confirmed that she would be handed over to relevant agencies for further prosecution.
