Rufai Oseni Slams Victor Osimhen Over Turkey Move, Calls for Apology to Teammates

Veteran journalist Rufai Oseni has criticised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen over comments suggesting his desire to move to Turkey, describing the attitude as unacceptable and disrespectful to the team.
Oseni questioned Osimhen’s stance, stressing that the forward is no bigger than the national team and should show more humility. He compared Osimhen with fellow Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman, noting that both players have achieved the same feat of being named African Footballer of the Year.
“What Ademola Lookman has achieved, you too have achieved,” Oseni said, insisting there was no justification for Osimhen’s posture. He added that such comments could affect team unity and morale.
Oseni further called on Osimhen to apologise to his teammates, stating that professionalism and respect must always come first when representing the country.
