Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has stirred political reactions after making a bold statement while calling out former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike over his support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking during a recent engagement, Makinde said:
“I made $1 million at 29 in 1997 while Wike was finishing law school,”
a remark many have interpreted as a response to criticisms and political positioning within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
