BREAKING: HOLLYWOOD ACTOR MICHAEL MADSEN, STAR OF KILL BILL AND RESERVOIR DOGS, DEAD AT 67 IN MALIBU
Michael Madsen, the iconic actor renowned for his unforgettable roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, has died at the age of 67.
The actor was found unresponsive early Wednesday morning at his Malibu home, according to law enforcement sources. Paramedics arrived on the scene but were unable to revive him. His death is believed to have been caused by cardiac arrest. No foul play is suspected.
A key figure in 1990s cult cinema, Madsen’s performance as Mr. Blonde in Reservoir Dogs remains one of the most talked-about roles in independent film history. He followed up with standout performances in Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 and more than 150 other film and television projects.
His rugged charisma, tough-guy demeanor, and deep voice made him a favorite among fans of action and crime genres. Beyond acting, Madsen was also a published poet and father of five.
A family representative released a statement Wednesday morning:
“Michael was a brilliant actor and a deeply loving father, husband, and friend. We ask for privacy during this incredibly difficult time.”
Tributes are already pouring in from Hollywood veterans and fans around the world. Director Quentin Tarantino described Madsen as “a rare and fearless talent — both on and off screen.”
Madsen is survived by his wife, DeAnna, and his children. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days.
