EL-RUFAI: APC’S 91% DISAPPROVAL RATING IS WORST IN NIGERIA’S HISTORY

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has delivered a damning verdict on the current state of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that the party now suffers a staggering 91% disapproval rating—the worst in Nigeria’s political history.
Speaking during a candid interview on Arise TV on Monday night, El-Rufai did not hold back in his assessment of the APC’s performance and the growing public dissatisfaction.
“In all the political surveys and feedback we’re getting, the APC has a 91% disapproval rating. That is unprecedented,” El-Rufai said, stressing that the ruling party must urgently reassess its direction and reconnect with the Nigerian people.
His comments come amid widespread public outcry over economic hardship, rising inflation, and insecurity under the APC-led federal government. The former minister’s remarks are expected to stir debate within the party and beyond, especially as the 2027 general elections begin to take shape.
El-Rufai’s blunt revelation adds to the mounting pressure on the APC to overhaul its strategies and regain the trust of disillusioned citizens.
