ONE D£AD, TWO INJURED IN EARLY MORNING CRASH ON LAGOS ’ TRADEFAIR-AGBARA ROAD

Tragedy struck in the early hours of Monday, May 12, as a multiple-vehicle crash claimed the life of one person and left two others injured along the Tradefair-Agbara Road in Lagos State.
The incident, which occurred around 5:36 a.m. at the Iyana Era Bus Stop, involved a blue Mack truck (registration number AKD 579 XM) and a silver Lexus saloon car (LSR 545 JN), according to a statement issued by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Sector Commander, Mr. Kehinde Hamzat.
Hamzat revealed that five adult males were involved in the collision. Preliminary investigations suggest that speed violation and loss of control were the primary causes, despite favorable road conditions.
“The violent impact of the crash led to the death of one male adult, while two others sustained varying degrees of injuries,” the statement read.
Emergency responders from the FRSC arrived at the scene within four minutes of receiving the distress call and promptly coordinated rescue efforts. The injured victims were transported to Alimosho General Hospital for urgent medical care.
Mr. Hamzat extended his condolences to the family of the deceased and reiterated the agency’s call for safer driving habits to prevent further loss of life on the roads.
