18-YEAR-OLD WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY K!LLING HER HUSBAND IN KANO 

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of an 18-year-old woman, Saudat Jibril, for allegedly k!lling her husband, 30-year-old Salisu Idris, with a sharp object during the early hours of Tuesday, May 6.

The tragic incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. in Farawa Quarters. Idris was rushed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital but was pronounced dead due to severe injuries to his throat.

According to police spokesperson SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the suspect is currently in custody and will be charged with culpable homicide after investigations are concluded.

Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, condemned the act and assured the public that justice will prevail.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear as investigations continue.
