KING SUNNY ADE DEBUNKS KIDNAP RUMOUR

Veteran Juju music icon, Sunday Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade, has released a short video to debunk rumors of his disappearance and alleged abduction.
Concerns were recently raised by his daughter, Damilola Adeniyi, who took to Instagram expressing fears about her father’s whereabouts. She alleged he might have been kidnapped and even pointed fingers at his manager, suggesting undue influence.
However, in a video shared on social media, the 78-year-old music legend reassured fans, saying he simply went on a short holiday to rest, which may have led to the confusion.
“My children wanted to see me and thought I was kidnapped after I went away for a few days to rest. But I thank God, I was not kidnapped—and I didn’t kidnap myself,” he said lightheartedly.
Backing up the statement, King Sunny Ade’s manager and son, Dayo Adegeye, confirmed the artiste is “safe and sound.”
“There is no truth to the kidnapping rumor,” he stated, adding that steps are being taken to address the situation and track the source of the misinformation.
He assured fans that “the King of World Beats, King Sunny Ade, is not abducted or under any threat.”
