President Bola Ahmed Tinubu marked his 73rd birthday on Saturday, March 29, 2025, receiving an outpouring of prayers and goodwill from family members, political associates, and the general public. Among the many messages, one that stood out was a heartfelt tribute from his wife, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.

FIRST LADY’S TOUCHING MESSAGE

In a special message, the former senator expressed her admiration and gratitude for her husband, describing him as a knight in shining armour. She also thanked God for His faithfulness in sustaining him over the years.

“I rejoice and thank God Almighty for His faithfulness in your life over the years. I celebrate your courage, strength, and resilience that have all contributed to who we both are today. May you live long in divine health, joy, peace, and prosperity,” the First Lady wrote.

POLITICAL ELITES HONOUR PRESIDENT TINUBU

President Tinubu’s birthday has long been a significant occasion, even before he assumed office. Political leaders and technocrats annually anticipate March 29 as a day to celebrate him, and this year was no exception.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, in a personally signed congratulatory message, commended Tinubu’s passion for Nigeria’s progress, stating that his vision and dedication to national development are inspiring.

“Your Excellency, on behalf of my family and constituents, the Senate, and the entire National Assembly, I wish you a happy 73rd birthday. Today marks a significant milestone in your life, and I am honoured to celebrate with you,” Akpabio remarked.

Similarly, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Tajudeen Abbas, joined in celebrating the President. He described Tinubu as a democrat and patriot whose leadership is crucial at this critical stage in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

Abbas further praised Tinubu as one of the most experienced politicians to hold the presidential seat, highlighting his successes across executive and legislative positions at both state and federal levels.

He also lauded the President’s decisive actions, particularly his immediate removal of the long-standing fuel subsidy, which had significantly strained Nigeria’s economy for years.

A LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP

As Tinubu celebrates this milestone, the tributes from both family and political leaders highlight his enduring impact on Nigeria’s governance and democratic progress.
