ARMED ROBBERS ATTACK OKIKI FILMS CREW, STEAL HIGH-END FILMMAKING EQUIPMENT
In a distressing turn of events, a film crew from Okiki Films was attacked by armed robbers along the Akinyele-Fiditi axis in Oyo State. The assailants made away with high-end filmmaking equipment, including a Blackmagic 6K Pro camera, multiple lenses, and a drone. Fortunately, no crew member was harmed, but the loss of valuable production tools has left the team devastated.
“This is more than saddening!” Okiki Films lamented in a social media post, urging authorities to intervene.
Lagos State Government Issues Security Alert
This incident comes amid rising concerns over security in Nigeria, particularly in Lagos. The Lagos State Government recently issued a public safety alert, warning residents of an increase in kidnapping incidents along the Gbagada Expressway.
According to information from the Lagos State Police Command, criminals have been using the “one chance” method to target unsuspecting commuters, often operating in Danfo minibuses with up to five individuals involved.
