KUNLE REMI ANNOUNCES BIRTH OF FIRST CHILD, SHARES EMOTIONAL JOURNEY TO PARENTHOOD
Award-winning actor Kunle Remi has joyfully announced the birth of his first child with his wife, Boluwatiwi Oye, fondly known as Tiwi.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Kunle shared a heartwarming video capturing tender moments with his wife and their newborn. In an emotional message, he reflected on their challenging yet faith-filled journey to parenthood, revealing that their child, Eemi Oluwa, arrived after weeks of unwavering perseverance.
“From an unexpected and unsettling medical discovery to complete bed rest. From juggling demanding work schedules to hopping on flights, both locally and internationally,” he wrote. “From waiting, countless NICU visits, and clinging to God for 11 weeks and 3 days (that’s 80 days of faith). Our story is living proof that God is God—unfailing, unwavering, and faithful till the very end. We’ve been blessed with a WONDER. We’ve been blessed with EEMI OLUWA—the BREATH OF GOD.”
Kunle also revealed that they documented their experience in a special documentary, Journey to Wonder, now available on his YouTube channel.
The announcement has since drawn an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues.
Kunle and Tiwi tied the knot in a grand celebration that featured a traditional wedding in Ibadan, Oyo State, followed by a white wedding ceremony. Tiwi, born in 1997, is a Nigerian entrepreneur from the esteemed Otedola family. She is the daughter of Pastor Abimbola Oye and Omotola Otedola-Oye, making her a niece to billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.
