TIMI DAKOLO CALLS OUT APOSTLE FEMI LAZARUS OVER GOSPEL ARTISTE CHARGES CONTROVERSY
Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has accused Apostle Femi Lazarus of hypocrisy following the pastor’s criticism of gospel musicians’ fees.
The controversy began when Apostle Lazarus shared an alleged invoice from a gospel artiste during a sermon, revealing demands including a $10,000 honorarium, a 50% non-refundable deposit, a first-class flight, and luxury accommodations. He condemned these financial expectations as excessive for ministry.
In response, Dakolo dismissed the invoice as fake, urging Nigerians to be cautious of misinformation. “Nobody has a 40-man crew in Nigeria. Name the artist to justify your claims ,” he wrote on Instagram.

Further challenging Lazarus, Dakolo pointed out that the pastor himself charges fees for his School of Ministry. He shared screenshots of emails showing a $150 enrollment fee, questioning the preacher’s stance on financial charges within ministry.
