WUMI TORIOLA CLAPS BACK AT FOOD CRITIC OPEYEMI FAMAKIN AMID CHEF T DRAMA
The drama in Nollywood just got spicier as actress Wumi Toriola fires back at food critic Opeyemi Famakin for inserting himself into her feud with popular chef, Chef T of Diary of a Kitchen Lover.
The online beef began when Wumi called out Chef T for ignoring her DM while she was promoting her movie, Queen Lateefah, last year. She accused the chef of acting like she no longer needed support from others.
Opeyemi Famakin, known for his blunt food reviews, decided to weigh in, defending Chef T and reprimanding Wumi in a video. But Wumi was not having it!
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress slammed Famakin, accusing him of seeking clout and lacking a real career. She even took shots at his food reviews, claiming he has done more harm than good to struggling entrepreneurs.
In her words:
“Dear Opeyemi, there’s really no need to act like a coward. My name is Wumi Toriola, and I’m merely responding to your tantrums and desperate need for attention. If it brings you even a shred of relevance, I truly don’t mind. It’s rather amusing, though, coming from someone without a defined career or any tangible job description. You’ve caused more harm than good to struggling entrepreneurs, all under the guise of being a self-appointed food critic…”
And she didn’t stop there! In a follow-up Instagram story, she made it clear that she won’t be responding to just anyone.
“All shade seen from one food critic, but I will respond only to someone with a career and a proper job description.”
