WUMI TORIOLA CALLS OUT CHEF T OF DIARYOFAKITCHENLOVER FOR IGNORING COLLABORATION REQUEST
Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has publicly criticized popular food content creator ChefT, known for Diary of a Kitchen Lover, after allegedly being ignored when she requested to feature in one of ChefT’s cooking episodes to promote her upcoming movie.
Sharing a screenshot of their conversation, Wumi revealed that she had reached out with a polite request, writing:
“Good morning, sis. I would love to feature. I’ve been a lover of your page for a while. I don’t know if any of your cooking episodes is coming soon, as my cinema debut is coming in September. Me wearing a T-shirt of it while cooking on one of your episodes—I don’t know if and how it works with you.”
However, ChefT seemingly did not respond, prompting Wumi to express her disappointment. Captioning the screenshot, she wrote:
“ChefT @diaryofakitchenlover feels she doesn’t need anyone again, na only she. You grow, her grow. Shey na December me sef come out????”
In a follow-up post, Wumi appeared to shade ChefT further, writing:
“Shout out to great people who have grown and still maintain healthy collaborations….”
The call-out has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting Wumi’s stance while others argue that ChefT had the right to decline or ignore the request.
As of now, neither ChefT nor Diary of a Kitchen Lover has publicly responded to the controversy.
