TEEBILLZ TENDERS HEARTFELT APOLOGY TO TOKE MAKINWA FOLLOWING ONLINE SPAT ON IDIBIA SAGA
Renowned Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage’s former husband, Tunji Balogun, widely known as Teebillz, has issued a heartfelt public apology to one of his ex-wife’s close friends, media personality Toke Makinwa.
Teebillz expressed regret for his impulsive actions and acknowledged that his behavior was out of character. He attributed his thoughtless conduct to his deep affection for 2Face Idibia and Annie Idibia.
In his apology, he expressed a desire to meet with Toke Makinwa privately to resolve their differences amicably. He admitted that his outbursts were similar to what he had accused Toke of, and he hoped she would forgive his emotional shortcomings. Teebillz also humorously mentioned his concern that his son, Jamil, might discover he had disrespected one of his favorite aunties, questioning the example he was setting.
His message read:
“My sincere apologies, TM. I jumped the gun and goofed… I honestly acted out of character because of the unconditional love I have for Annie and King 2Face…! My actions were based on outdated information and a lack of understanding of the current situation… I hope you can overlook my ignorance. Hopefully, I get the chance to apologize privately and sort out our differences… My actions were exactly what I accused you of. I hope you can forgive my emotional incompetence, please @tokemakinwa . Jamil can’t find out I disrespected one of his favorite aunties… What kind of example am I setting? Blessings and love, TM.”
This apology comes weeks after Teebillz criticized Toke Makinwa for involving herself in the publicized separation drama between 2Face Idibia and Annie Idibia. At the time, Teebillz had taken to Instagram to share a photo of himself with his ex-wife, Tiwa Savage, and their son, Jamil. He emphasized the importance of family and urged others to avoid meddling in family matters.
While wishing Toke Makinwa blessings in love and motherhood, he subtly taunted her lack of experience in those areas. He also reminded her of the comments she made about him during his separation from Tiwa Savage, advising her to stay out of 2Face and Annie Idibia’s marital issues.
Teebillz’s recent apology marks a shift in tone as he seeks to mend fences with Toke Makinwa and move past the public feud.
