ROTIMI SALAMI RESPONDS TO PRODUCTION MANAGER’S ACCUSATION

Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has addressed allegations from a production manager who accused him of abandoning a movie set before completing his scenes.

Taking to Instagram to share his side of the story, Salami revealed that his senior colleague, Lekan Olatunji, had invited him for a movie project initially scheduled to be filmed over two days. However, the production dates were rescheduled four times for reasons unknown to him.

On the final agreed date, he requested mobilization and received ₦100,000, which he accepted out of respect for Lekan. Salami explained that he arrived in Abeokuta at 2:30 PM after dealing with a car breakdown. Since a specific time had been set for his appearance, there was no arrangement for him to stay overnight for a second day.

The actor, who had an important appointment in Lagos, eventually left the set due to delays from the production team. He later discovered that the production manager had shared a misleading narrative online, attempting to damage his reputation.

Defending himself, Salami stated, “I am addressing this to protect my image, especially for those who truly care and have reached out to me. This will be the last time I speak on this issue. Meanwhile, defaming me and publicly sharing my business number for unwarranted calls is unacceptable.”

Concluding his statement, he added, “Whether you find me guilty or not, please subscribe to my YouTube channel, THESALAMIS TV. IRE O.”
