“HELP ME” – ABDUCTED AFENIFERE YOUTH LEADER OJAJUNI BEGS NIGERIANS FOR RANSOM

In a harrowing development, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the National President of the Afenifere National Youth Council, has appealed to Nigerians for help in raising a N100 million ransom demanded by his kidnappers, who have threatened to kill him by 3 pm on Monday if their demands are not met.

The urgent plea was made in a distressing video that has gone viral on social media. The footage shows Ojajuni, visibly shaken, with a kidnapper pointing an AK-47 rifle at his chest as he begs for financial assistance to secure his release.

“Nigerians, please help me! Your donation—N100,000, N50,000, or N1,000,000—can go a long way in saving my life,” Ojajuni pleaded in the video. “My name is Prince Eniola Ojajuni. God bless you. Aderohunmu, please help me spread this video.”

The National Secretary of the Afenifere National Youth Council, Abiodun Aderohunmu, confirmed the abduction in a statement, revealing that Ojajuni was kidnapped in Abuja and sustained a gunshot wound during the attack.

“The Afenifere National Youths Council is deeply saddened to announce the kidnapping of its National President, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, in Abuja. During the attack, he sustained a gunshot wound, and we are extremely concerned about his safety,” the statement read.

Aderohunmu called on the Federal Government and security agencies to act swiftly to secure Ojajuni’s release, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

The kidnappers have issued a 48-hour ultimatum, threatening to kill Ojajuni if the N100 million ransom is not paid. A chilling voice recording of negotiations between the kidnappers and Ojajuni’s family has also surfaced, highlighting the tense and desperate nature of the situation.

In the recording, Ojajuni, speaking in distress, revealed that the kidnappers had already shot him in the buttock and were adamant about their ransom demand. A family member attempted to negotiate, pleading for a reduction in the amount.

“Please, what can you do for us? How do we pay?” the family member asked.

The kidnapper, however, remained unyielding, stating, “God forbid bad thing. If you continue talking nonsense, I swear to Almighty God you won’t hear from me again. The last price my boss gave me is N100 million, but if you can raise something better, let me know.”

Despite the family’s efforts to negotiate, offering to sell a piece of land to raise N10 million, the kidnappers refused to lower their demand, further threatening to harm Ojajuni if their conditions were not met.

As of now, the Nigeria Police Force has yet to issue a statement regarding efforts to rescue Ojajuni, leaving his family, friends, and supporters in a state of anxiety.

The incident has sparked outrage and calls for action, with many Nigerians urging the government and security agencies to prioritize Ojajuni’s safe release.
