NURSING MOTHER UNALIVES MAID FOR WATCHING TV IN OWERRI
A nursing mother has faced the wrath of her community after allegedly causing the death of her maid in Owerri, Imo State.
In a video circulating online, the nursing mother is seen carrying her baby in a hospital while being surrounded by an angry crowd. The crowd accuses her of killing her maid, whose lifeless body lies on a hospital bed nearby.
As tensions rise, some members of the crowd caution against physical violence, with one voice saying, “Guy, no hit am, no hit am,” while another adds, “She’s going to NAPTIP straight.”
Journalist Nonsonkwa Ochi War reported that the woman was apprehended by neighbors following the tragic incident. Allegedly, the underage maid was punished for sitting with the woman’s children to watch TV, a punishment that reportedly led to her death.
In the video, the nursing mother attempts to explain herself, but her voice is drowned out by the agitated crowd. Onlookers are heard condemning her actions, with one saying, “Very wicked woman. Is that not someone’s child?” while others film the maid’s lifeless body, expressing outrage at the sight.
The woman is later heard narrating how she went to the market, returned home, and began cooking, but the crowd continues to call her names, labeling her as wicked and heartless.
The video has since gone viral, sparking widespread outrage online. Many have joined the community in demanding justice for the young girl.
