Governor Fubara Accuses Some Judges of Twisting Law to Serve Powerful Interests

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has criticised the actions of some Nigerian judges, accusing them of deliberately manipulating the law to serve the interests of powerful individuals he described as their “paymasters.”
The governor, who spoke while reacting to recent judicial developments, expressed concern over what he described as the erosion of justice and fairness in the legal system, warning that such actions undermine public trust in the judiciary.
Fubara stressed that the judiciary must remain independent and committed to upholding the rule of law, rather than yielding to external influence or political pressure.
