CHRIS BROWN PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO ASSAULT CHARGE OVER LONDON NIGHTCLUB INCIDENT

American singer Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault stemming from an alleged bottle attack at a London nightclub in 2023.

According to the BBC, the R&B star is accused of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to music producer Abraham Diaw during an altercation at a Mayfair club. Two additional charges — assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon — were introduced ahead of Friday’s court appearance but have been adjourned until July 11.

Brown, who is currently on tour in the U.K., appeared at London’s Southwark Crown Court just hours after performing in Cardiff, Wales. He was arrested in Manchester last month upon entering the country and was held in custody for nearly a week before securing his release with a £5 million ($6.4 million) bail.

The Grammy-winning artist is scheduled to stand trial on October 26, 2026.
