K1 DE ULTIMATE OPENS UP ON RIFT WITH ALHAJI KOLLINGTON

In the vibrant world of Fuji music, names like King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, and Alhaji Kollington Ayinla stand tall as living legends. But beyond the beats and the glory lies a complex web of rivalry, respect, and recently, emotional betrayal.

For years, fans have sensed the subtle tension between K1 and Kollington: two powerhouses whose careers have shaped the trajectory of Fuji music. While their rivalry has often been chalked up to generational shifts and industry dynamics, a recent emotional revelation from K1 has brought their strained relationship into sharp focus.

During an interview on Agbaletu TV, K1 didn’t hold back as he recounted his deep disappointment over Kollington Ayinla’s absence at the funeral of his mother. For the Fuji maestro, it was not just a missed appearance, it was a clear betrayal from someone he once went all out for.

“I am so angry with Alhaji Kollington because he never showed up to offer his condolences when I lost my mum,” K1 stated. “When his own mother passed away, I supported him to give his mum a befitting burial. I brought a lot of dignitaries to the burial and handled all the finances 100%.”

What seemed to hurt the most was not just the absence, but the justification that followed. “He is in Nigeria, hale and hearty, and the only excuse he gave was that he called me and I didn’t pick up. Am I not supposed to be angry?”

This personal fallout casts new light on the deeper layers of their relationship. Beyond the well-known competition for musical dominance, both men have shared moments of brotherhood, mutual respect, and industry influence. But it seems that a lack of reciprocity in a time of grief has opened old wounds and added a human face to their long-standing feud.

While fans continue to admire their individual contributions to Fuji music, this emotional disclosure reminds us that even legends are not immune to hurt and that behind the scenes of stardom, expectations of loyalty and honor run just as deep.

Will time heal this rift? Only time and perhaps, a heartfelt conversation can tell.
