Zulum Approves N12.9bn to Sponsor 54 Students to Isaac Balami University

The Borno State Government has earmarked N12.9 billion to sponsor 54 students to study aeronautics and engineering at Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management (IBUAM).
At a ceremony held in Maiduguri, Governor Babagana Zulum presented an initial cheque of N2.5 billion to cover yearly tuition and other academic expenses for the beneficiaries.
In addition to the tuition support, each of the 54 students was granted N500,000 to assist with resumption logistics, signaling the state government’s commitment to investing in specialized education and capacity building in the aviation and engineering sectors.
The initiative is part of broader efforts by the Borno State Government to equip young indigenes with technical skills that could contribute to national development and strengthen human capital in critical industries.
