Africa’s richest man and industrialist, Aliko Dangote, has called on the Federal Government to urgently fix Nigeria’s power supply, warning that economic growth is impossible without stable electricity.

Dangote made the statement while speaking on the challenges facing businesses and industrialisation in Nigeria, stressing that unreliable power remains one of the biggest obstacles to productivity, investment, and competitiveness.

“No power, no growth,” Dangote said, emphasising that industries are forced to rely heavily on self-generated electricity, which significantly increases production costs and limits expansion.

He noted that consistent and affordable power would unlock massive opportunities for manufacturing, job creation, and economic diversification, adding that Nigeria cannot compete globally if businesses continue to shoulder the burden of electricity generation.
