First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu Pays Condolence Visit To Ojora Family

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Saturday, paid a solemn condolence visit to the family of the late industrialist Otunba Adekunle Ojora at their residence in Ikoyi, Lagos. The visit came as the Ojora-Saraki family continues to mourn the passing of the respected elder statesman, who died on January 28, 2026, at the age of 93.
During her visit, the First Lady was warmly received by Dr Toyin Saraki and her husband, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, who expressed deep appreciation for the gesture of sympathy. In a message shared on social media, Saraki said he and his family were honoured to receive the First Lady, whose presence brought comfort during this difficult period of mourning.
In remarks conveyed through her Senior Special Assistant on Media, Oluremi Tinubu described the late Ojora as a devout Muslim and a unifying figure whose commitment to religious harmony and peaceful coexistence left a lasting legacy. She also offered words of comfort to the widow, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, commending her strength and resilience as the matriarch of the family.
Otunba Adekunle Ojora, a prominent Lagos businessman and traditional titleholder known as Olori Omo Oba of Lagos, was laid to rest according to Islamic rites on January 29, 2026, following Janazah prayers at Ikoyi Vault. The funeral was attended by family, dignitaries and community leaders.
The condolence visit by the First Lady underscores the deep tradition of solidarity and support shown by Nigerian leaders to bereaved families, highlighting respect and unity across political and social lines.
