Tension at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport as Security Agents Allegedly Attempted to Arrest El-Rufai

A tense scene reportedly unfolded today at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport when security personnel allegedly attempted to detain former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai upon his arrival from abroad.
According to a statement from El-Rufai’s media adviser, the operatives approached him as he disembarked from his flight and attempted to take him into custody. The former governor resisted the move, saying he would not comply without a formal invitation or warrant.
As of this report, there are no official statements yet from security agencies or the Federal Government on the attempted arrest or the circumstances surrounding the exchange at the airport.
