Influencer and media personality Ifedayo “Ife” Agoro has sparked conversations online after candidly sharing her views on a common wedding tradition during her podcast Middle Ground with Frank and Ife.

In a viral video clip, Ifedayo explained why she chose not to kneel when feeding her husband, Frank, during their wedding reception. She said,

“Because what I don’t like is when you go for a wedding and they tell the girl to feed her husband kneeling down. You didn’t feed me. I fed you cake now. I just didn’t kneel down.”

Frank explained the reasoning behind the custom, “The tradition is that you are supposed to learn how to feed your husband properly. You kneel down to give me the cake, and then going into your husband’s house, that is how you follow suit. So each time you give me food… you kneel down.”

Ife responded that she didn’t want to compromise her personal beliefs for tradition.

“I know. That’s the issue. And I said I don’t want to be a hypocrite because I didn’t need to kneel down.”

Her remarks highlight an ongoing conversation about the relevance of certain cultural practices in modern weddings and the importance of respecting personal boundaries. The clip has since gained traction on social media, with many viewers engaging in discussions about balancing tradition with individuality in marriage ceremonies.
