Afrobeats star Mr Eazi says touring within Africa was harder than touring the US and Europe, blaming border friction and bureaucracy.
Speaking at the Africa Prosperity Dialogue in Accra, Ghana, he revealed that despite being booked to perform, he was once stopped at the Kenyan border because he is Nigerian — while his band members were allowed in.
According to him, these regulatory barriers, not lack of talent, are holding Africa back, stressing the need for better implementation of AfCFTA to encourage unity and growth.
