Senator Adams Oshiomhole has expressed deep frustration after revealing how sc4mm£rs allegedly h@cked into his bank account using Opay and Moniepoint, rather than any traditional banks.

Speaking during a Senate session, Oshiomhole stated:

“When they h@cked into my account, I found out that the banks used were Opay and Moniepoint. None of the traditional banks were used. I know all the directors of First Bank, Access Bank and Zenith Bank… I don’t know the directors of Opay or Moniepoint.”

His emotional outburst comes as the Senate begins discussions on regulating fintech platforms such as Opay, Palmpay, and Moniepoint due to rising cases of online fraud and untraceable transactions.

The revelation has sparked wide reactions online, with many Nigerians calling for stronger cybersecurity measures, clearer accountability from fintech operators, and improved safety for digital banking users.

The conversation continues to trend as citizens debate the balance between innovation and regulation in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital finance sector.
