Viral Elderly Woman Survives as Harrison Gwamnishu Visits Eruku Community

Fresh reports from Eruku have confirmed the devastating attack on CAC church worshipers, where 38 people were kidnapped, three were killed, and one person critically injured in the brutal bandit assault.
Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu has visited Eruku to assess the situation firsthand. During his visit, he met the elderly woman seen in the viral abduction video — the same woman who cried out fearfully during the attack. Contrary to earlier fears, she survived the incident. Harrison noted that she is still shaken and in pain, and his team has provided her with immediate medical assistance.
He further revealed that the kidnappers have now reached out to the community and are already demanding ransom for the release of kidnapped worshipers. The atmosphere in Eruku remains tense as families and residents grapple with trauma, fear, and uncertainty.
Harrison called for urgent intervention from both the Federal and State Governments, stating that the persistent wave of violence and abductions must no longer be ignored. He emphasized that innocent citizens cannot continue to shoulder this grief alone.
The Safe City Volunteer Foundation has assured that it will remain on ground in Eruku to support the victims’ families and provide assistance to those managing the crisis.
