NAPTIP DECLARES SPEED DARLINGTON WANTED OVER ALLEGED RAPE, CYBERBULLYING, AND CYBERSTALKING

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared controversial Nigerian entertainer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, wanted over multiple serious allegations including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

The agency made the announcement Friday afternoon via its official Instagram account, @officialnaptip, calling on the public to provide credible information regarding the entertainer’s whereabouts.

“WANTED BY NAPTIP. Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, is wanted in connection with alleged offences including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking,” the notice read.

“Anyone with credible information on his whereabouts is urged to contact NAPTIP immediately. Call: 07030000203, info@naptip.gov.ng.”

This development follows Speed Darlington’s failure to honour an invitation by the agency for questioning — an invitation issued last month after he made disturbing claims during a live Instagram session, where he boasted about having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl.

The statement, which sparked outrage across social media, quickly drew the attention of authorities. NAPTIP’s latest action indicates that efforts to reach or question the entertainer have since been unsuccessful.

As of the time of this report, Speed Darlington has not responded to the agency’s notice, and it remains unclear whether he is currently within Nigeria.

The agency urges anyone with useful information to come forward as investigations continue.
