SIMON GUOBADIA BREAKS SILENCE ON DIVORCE FROM PORSHA WILLIAMS, CLAIMS HE WAS “TARGETED FROM DAY ONE”

Businessman Simon Guobadia, the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, is speaking out for the first time since their highly publicized split — and he isn’t holding back.

In a candid interview with Page Six, Guobadia revealed he “absolutely regrets” the whirlwind marriage, claiming he was blindsided and emotionally manipulated from the start. “This felt like a coup… I was totally blindsided,” he said, adding that even Williams’ family became unreachable during the breakdown of their relationship.

Guobadia disclosed that throughout their short-lived union, he repeatedly asked Williams why she filed for divorce, but claims he never received a clear answer. In a moment of frustration, he admitted to sending her a message describing the marriage as a “$5 million rehab project.”

The Nigerian-American entrepreneur, who has now been married three times, also shared shocking details about how the relationship began. According to him, Williams slid into his DMs while he was still divorcing his previous wife and fellow RHOA cast member Falynn Guobadia. “She was in my DMs praying for me. I think I was vulnerable at that time, and I entertained it. Getting engaged in 30 days… who does that? I was out of my goddamn mind,” he said.

Williams filed for divorce in February 2024, just 14 months after their wedding. She later told People magazine that she hired an immigration attorney after uncovering what she described as “complex” legal issues surrounding Guobadia’s immigration status. She also cited a confrontation on Valentine’s Day as the final straw, prompting her to end the marriage.

Earlier this month, Guobadia was deported to Nigeria following a series of immigration violations, including alleged fraud. Despite the fallout, he insists Williams never raised any concerns before filing. “She never shared her issues with me. If you’re married, you talk it out,” he said. “I think I was targeted — from day one — for financial reasons.”

Following his release from ICE custody, a judge formally dissolved the marriage and upheld the couple’s prenuptial agreement. Under the terms, Guobadia is required to pay Williams $40,000 per month in alimony — totaling $560,000 — and cover her living expenses for up to 36 months in their shared Atlanta mansion, which she also has the option to buy after refinancing and paying him 50% of the home’s equity.

Despite the legal ruling, Guobadia says the battle isn’t over. “This is going to be appealed. I’ve honoured prenups before without issue, but this time, I’m challenging it — all the way to the Supreme Court if I have to,” he declared. “I know I was targeted, and I intend to prove it.”
